Hiking/Backpacking Update mre@millbrooktroop31bsa.org

We had a busy weekend planning, hiking, and working on the AT. Fridays meeting concluded with a 20 mile hike planned for Saturday, July 28^th. We will meet at Horntontown Rd. and end at Old Rt. 22. Planned start time is 7:00 AM approximate pick up time is 6:00 or 7:00 PM.

Saturday 9 of us had a very enjoyable 10 mile hike. Below is the view from Cat Rock

Sunday 5 of us replaced 12 Oak planks on a foot bridge on the AT. This gives an additional 20 hours of service time on the AT. While working on the bridge we met 2 through hikers who were very thankful for our services on the trail. Below is a photo of the bridge after repair.
